Together with our partners, we help you overcome the challenges that come with relocating to a new country. However, this is only an estimate that varies from case to case. If you already speak some German, we may be able to speed up the process slightly depending on your language level."},{"headline":"Is there a guarantee that I will be offered a job in Germany?","text":"Participants must go through the same application process for an open position as for any other job opening. This means that your qualifications and experience must match the requirements of the company. During an online interview, you and your potential employer have the opportunity to see whether you are a good fit for the company and the position. We prepare you for such an interview. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to place you with a German company. But we will provide you with the best possible support."},{"headline":"What documents do I need to participate in the project?","text":"To apply for the project, all you need is a current CV detailing your experience and certificates of your qualifications. Other documents, such as your passport, can be submitted later if you are accepted into the project."},{"headline":"What obligations do I have as a candidate in the project?","text":"The success of the project and your placement in Germany depends on the cooperation between you as an applicant and the \"Hand in Hand for International Talents\" team. As an applicant, we rely on you to obtain all required documents on time and to stay in close contact with us in case of any difficulties. Since we cover the costs of your language training, it is your responsibility to actively participate in the course and ensure that you will pass the B1 exam at the end of the course. As the entire process can take longer than a year, it's important that you remain motivated and committed throughout, even if progress sometimes feels slow."},{"headline":"I don't speak German yet, how long does the course take?","text":"We will organize a German language course for you in which you will acquire the necessary German language skills. The course will take about 1 year."},{"headline":"I have already learned German, can I speed up the process?","text":"Yes, if you already have a certain level of German language skills, it is even possible to skip the language course entirely, provided you can pass at least a B1-level test. Your certificate should not be older than one year at the time of your visa application. Therefore, you may still need to take another test."},{"headline":"How much does it cost to participate in the project?","text":"The project follows the principles of fair migration. This means that you do not have to pay any fees for participating in the project, for job placement or for the support services offered. The project was initiated by the German Federal Government and is funded through public funds and the participating companies."},{"headline":"How long does the recognition procedure for my professional qualification take?","text":"You can expect the recognition procedure to take about 4 to 6 months once all required documents have been submitted. You will receive a confirmation from the responsible authority, no later than one month after you have submitted an application for recognition. You may be asked to submit additional documents. The IHK FOSA office will inform you of any missing documents, but this should be the exception, as we from the HiH team will advise you before you submit your application and check all documents in advance."},{"headline":"What happens if the recognition procedure is not successful?","text":"Before you were accepted into the project, we assessed whether your professional qualifications had good prospects of being recognized in Germany. As German professional qualifications differ from those in your home country, it is possible that you will receive only partial recognition. If your professional qualification has only been partially recognized, you will need to complete an adaptation qualification to compensate for the differences. The costs for this adaptation training will be covered by us. During this period, you will already be working in Germany and will receive a salary."},{"headline":"How long does the visa process take?","text":"The issuance of a visa usually takes about 4 to 12 weeks. However, delays may occur if documents are missing. Additionally, depending on where you apply for the visa, it may take up to three months to get an appointment to submit your application. We support you in this process and maintain regular contact with the embassy and local consulates to ensure that the visa can be issued as quickly as possible."},{"headline":"What is the maximum duration of the residence permit and the permitted employment in Germany?","text":"Initially, the residence permit is usually granted for 4 years. After this period, if all requirements are met, you may apply for a settlement permit (similar to permanent residency), in some cases even earlier.
